-Parks and Recreation- Contact: Esmeralda Perches Financial Contact: Melissa Ince DESCRIPTIONThis 20 acre park is partially developed. This planning process will engage residents to guide the development of this park including the selection of future amenities and features. Why it's needed-The City of Umatilla conducted a Park Master Plan project in 2021 that included significant community engagement through focus groups and surveys. Citizens identified the development of Hash Park and the addition of more sports/recreational amenities as some of the top priorities. This project will help address the needs identified in the Park Master Plan. This project also aligns with the City Council’s adopted goal “Promote a vibrant and growing community by investing in and supporting quality of life improvements”. The increase in sports fields, playgrounds, walking paths and park amenities will make Umatilla a better place for residents and visitors. FINANCIAL
